Who are we?

We are The Profanity Embroidery Group, Whitstable, Kent, a group of 25 creatives who share a love of textiles and the odd bit of profanity.

Profanity Embroidery Quilt and some of its makers exhibited February 2016

Most people, if they are honest, feel better for a quick expletive when the occasion demands.  We meet once a fortnight at the Duke of Cumberland pub in Whitstable, Kent. As well as the collective work, we all produce individual stitched pieces and exhibit.

Current projects

We working together on projects. Recently we make bunting on the topic of Gin for the Twelve Taps Pub in Whitstable. The Secrets Quilt is a new project taking things to a wider audience.
